Introducing the Crossbones !

I woke up early and felt excited to go to work. After breakfast with wife and son, I quickly went to the lobby and waived a taxi. Yeah..today I am not going to drive to work because I am going to ride home on a harley !

At work I kept looking at my watch waiting for the hand to strike 12.30 pm. To make sure everything is perfect I called up Leo from the showroom. "Yeah man, the bike is ready, just waiting for you here". That was the sweetest words I have ever had to start a week.

By 1.00 pm I arrived at the showroom. After pushing some papers Leo and I went to the back of the showroom. There an object so beautiful was waiting for me. I spread out my leg over her and held the handlebar. The first feeling and impression is important. I realised that the stock seat is a bit high for me. My 2 feet could not stand firmly on the ground. I had to stand on 1 foot at a time or if by both feet, I had to stand on my toe. It was not stable at all.

But apart from the seat height everything else was smooth sailing for me and the bike. I am very happy to realise that I could handle the bike very well either at more than 100 km/h or 10 km/h. In fact I purposely went through the notorious Deira traffic on the second day ride to home.

The rest of the story (of 2 days) was the best memory for 2010. It was an experience gift for myself. However I have also more or less made up my mind that I like Dyna better compare to softail. But I dont know...I might change again..

Enjoy some pics here...

It will be next year

Pic ripped from internet (with high respect)

After countless hours of surfing Youtube, Flickr and mags looking and understanding the customisation on Sportster and Softail made by peoples around the world, I started to feel pain around my wrist and neck. To clear my head and ease out my addiction to surfing everything harley, I thought I should take it out to the open road, and what can be a great companion to do just that other than a harley !

Yeah yesterday I went to the HD showroom in Sheikh Zayed Road and booked myself an FLSTSB Crossbones for 2 days rental. The cost is AED 600 per day but I think it will be worth it.

For the past 3 months, my head has been crazy on Sportster 48. But recently I started to like the wisdom behind a softail frame which retain the classic rigid frame design with a hidden spring tail for comfort. I think softail frame is just a brilliant innovation.

I feel impatient for the Sunday to come as that is the day I am going to pick up the scoot from HD showroom. I will see whether I like softail after my 2 days ride with a Crossbones.
