It is a long December

I dont mind having a long December now since I have both wife and son living with me in Dubai now, so it is the best month of the year.

But the down side is I am still waiting for some front end parts that I ordered through the HD dealership. It has been almost two months now and I still cannot get my bike up and running. Waiting sucks..so to fill up the boredom I got myself a new helmet.

Presenting ...a DOT Bell Revolver Black Rally...

I hope the weather will be cold enough to ride with this big melon on my head.

Steamboat Party

Everytime I spend my holiday in my hometown Kuala Lumpur, it is always difficult to find time to hangout with all my friends and catching up with them. My priority goes to spending quality time with wife, kid and parents.

This time around, my wife and I decided to hold a Steamboat Party at our home. So that we can invite all our friends and spend good times with them at the comfort of our house. It was our first ever party at the new house and the first experience of preparing steamboat foods.

But by the time friends came, we had very good times and I realised that the foods were just secondary. Here are some of the pictures I took with my shitty camera phone...these are brothers from Independent MC.

Another Lid I Like

I must say Bell never fail to impress me with their lid design. I wanted a helmet which provides protection of a full face but at the same time an easy feature of open face. I went to look for modular helmets available on the market. There are variety of design and brands and price range. But this particular Bell Revolver Black Rally really call the shot !

Sporty, radical and its a modular helmet !

New Style

After an incident with my springer front end which scared the shit out of me, I decided to put back in a stock front end. I love the springer front end, it feels old school and radical but it doesn't suit my aggressive riding style.

Now I have to buy a complete front end from HD dealership. As expected the price is a killer and I had spent close to 10k dirhams on the front end and handlebar now. I hope not to spend this much again for customisation.

Today I received a Joker Machine black upper triple tree. I saved around 700 dirhams buying this triple tree than a stock street bob triple tree.

I like this particular style called Club/Outlaw Dyna style. It has been made popular by a tv show Sons of Anarchy. The style has been around in California years before the tv show. So to give the pioneers their credit, lets not call it a SOA style. But I think in this part of the world people will definitely call it SOA style. And I think I will get same remarks once my bike is up with this style...shit.

Dear to my skin

I dig the natural tan leather glove worn by some chopper riders. I think it is very comfortable and practical. This deerskin glove just arrived today and indeed it is very comfortable. Can't wait to ride to Abu Dhabi with my group tonight.

It got to be KD

I wanted to add my riding eyewear so that i will not panic if i loose my sunglasses. A good reason to buy The Original KD sunglasses, which claimed to be no. 1 bikers' sunglasses. And yes I saw a couple of guys in bike mags who wear KD. But what is most important is that its design protect my eyes from wind and debris, that's it.

Ride for Food

Due to hot and humid weather in UAE my ride is only limited at night time. So what will be more worth it to have a short and sweet ride in hot night air other than ride for food or ride for rice, i call it...

Breaking Away

I read somewhere in books that if one need to feel afresh just break away from routine. And I did just that early this morning by waking up early and rode my bike for 30 minutes around my area along the seashore. It was fun and I felt energised from the morning sunshine and sea breeze.

Definitely will do it again. The next time will snap pictures !

I got this pair of Lick's Cycle sunglasses yesterday...darn cool and functional. Now my quest for a riding sunglasses is over.

Friday Morning Ride through 2 Cities

Although I am still a registered member of HOG Dubai Chapter but I rarely ride with them just because of they usually ride on Friday morning starting at 5.30 am. That is quite a tall order for me to wake up at 4.00 am (I live in Sharjah) and be at their meeting place in Dubai before 5.30 am.

But last Friday I was determined to do just that and the ride turned out to be succesful and fun. Here are some pics to tell the story..

Sibu Chopper Scene

Since I have not been to Malaysia for a straight 8 months period so I decided to indulge my wife by going for a short trip to her mom's house in Oya. We arrived in Sibu on Monday morning and went to a cafe for some food.

To my surprise my brother in law brought me to the only bikers' cafe in Sibu. It's called Rafie's Cafe and next to it is the owner Razz Chopper Merchandise Shop. The cafe and and merchandise shop were full of riding pictures that took place in the neighborhood. The merchandise shop was selling a variety of t-shirts from local and international brands like Easyriders etc..They also have some riding accessories.

I managed to meet the owner Mr Razak (fondly knows as Razz) and had a chat with him about his bike and riding activities in Sarawak.

Razz is definitely one cool dude with his softail CFL chopper. He also showed to me his wife's sportster chopper which was fitted with fat bob rear fender and ape hanger.

Maybe next time I get to ride in Sibu with Razz and his group.

Easter Egg Ride 2011

Riding a harley with an egg is a new thing for me. But it was not difficult at all and I managed to bring home my egg still intact in its shell. Besides the egg, the rest of the ride was just fantastic....bikes, friends and foods.

Summer is approaching very soon. But nobody is talking about putting their bikes to hybernation in garage. It is just not a thing here in Dubai. Just put more sun-block, if you prefer.

Khairul was asking for another 2 eggs?
